The classes described below include information on signs and symptoms of use, trends, promoting refusal skills for youth and community resources. The classes are free to the public and take place primarily in schools.
DFI offers educational classes for elementary students (Parents and Youth Against Drug Abuse) and middle school students (Project Alert).
Educating children and teens about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse is an essential mission for the coalition.
DFI sponsors free PAYADA education classes for elementary school students and their parents. These classes are taught as a combined effort between elementary School Resource Officers and school counselors.
